Back in the fall of 1978, I watched the premiere of BSG with my family. I was a freshman in high school then. And I watched every single episode on ABC each Sunday night. Yes, it was a bit cheesy. But it was entertaining. It was better than most of the Star Wars imitations during the latter half of the 1970's.
Years later, I would affectionately post a few cheese jokes about BSG on the Syfy Forums. (Languatron attacked me for it.) But make no mistake. It does have warm place in my heart. It will always be a part of my childhood (just like the original Batman show).
Of course, I enjoyed Moore's re-imagined version. It was great to see Richard Hatch (the original Captain Apollo) play a prominent role in the new series.
It's been quite a ride for 25 years! (BTW, it's nice to see you again Mojo.)

He returns! Welcome back Mojo! I'll never forget seeing the THEATRICAL presentation of the pilot episode in SENSURROUND(TM)as an eight year old kid in Houston! It included the Baltar execution scene, where John Colicos is beheaded with a sword by a Cylon Centurion (with a quick cut-away at the critical last second)! I still like the original viper design more than the the Mark II or the Mark VII from the new series.
