I was just looking at the photos and in the first one with the troopers at the top you can see me there in the corner. I agree with you completely on the review, if there was no Zero the Hutt and if the robots actually weren’t complete idiots it would have been MUCH better!

I wonder why the premiere used the Episode 3 stormtroopers when the movie has the episode 2 models? Weird. The “Sith” models are much cooler.

I didn’t know anything about an “embargo” on reviews until just now, when you mentioned it. I did a little search and saw what you’re talking about. Of course, it’s all bullshit. The studios simply don’t want negative word of mouth to spread before release, which can hurt opening weekend grosses (this is why bad films generally won’t have a press screening until the day before it opens – it gives people almost no time to get reviews up).

No one can prevent anyone from posting anything they want about a movie they bought a ticket to and went to see. All the studios can do is blacklist people who don’t obey their wishes and refuse to invite them to future screenings.

Why do some outlets, like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, have embargo-ignoring reviews up while other sites don’t? Because they hold the trump card – the studios can’t AFFORD to alienate the big boys, so they’ll turn a blind eye.

I’m just a member of the public who paid his money to attend a charity screening. I’m not “the press,” so I have not been asked to hold back a review. Therefore, I won’t. The only reason my review may not be up before Friday is lack of time to write it! But now I feel compelled. I’ll try to get it posted by Thursday morning.

On the other hand, Pictures! Yay. Also the voice cast are alot more photogenic than I expected. I wager 50 quatloos Voice Anakin could have out-acted Anakin Anakin in the prequels.
