Regarding ety3’s question about the “Stores” labels on some shots of Viper joysticks:

The original series Viper prop joystick was surplus from an Grumman OV-10 Mohawk airplane. Some stock insert shots were obviously done before labels were replaced. See shots of another one:

On the other end of the spectrum, what about Space Mutiny? This classic awful movie (brought to fame by, of course, MST3k) used footage from the original BSG for every. single. space shot.

Combat, floating around, etc etc…all BSG.

Stargate is supposed to be good? SF fans tend to describe it as watchable in the old-fashioned sci-fi TV way, not as an innovative TV show, which is probably why it lasted as long as an Energizer bunny. I caught one or two episodes and wasn’t impressed. Is Command supposed to be different?

That stock footage wasn’t Starbuck’s hand on the control, it was _Buck_Roger’s_ hand on the control.
